Mightymom and the Three Bears has come to a close!!
I'm going to restring Sugars' bear as it was my first and the thread kept breaking on me...leaving knots that won't hold for long in the hands of destructo-girl.
But I fixed that problem with the boys' bears so it won't be hard to restring hers.

Next I just need to finish all the gifts to give, I've got 2 weeks to do it in! I need to stop by Michael's and get some tags sometime this week.
Finally, something crossed off the to-do list! Now the best thing about these gifts is that the only things I bought were the pattern and the yoyo-maker. All 6 yards of fabric, the thread, the felt and the stuffing came out of my stash.

Heavy quilting thread or even dental floss is good for stuff that will be under a lot of stress. I figure you used one or the other of those.
You're ahead of me with the gifts. I think I have 5 or 6 put back, if that many. With money as tight as it is right now I probably won't be buying too many more.

Diane, it was HAND QUILTING thread that was breaking. So I doubled the thread and made it longer than the pattern said so I wouldn't have to squish the yoyos so much.
Her's is restrung, the scraps are put away and the bag it all stayed in is hanging back in the closet nice and empty.

That took a lot of stamina, patience, and endurance to complete! They're adorable.

Fantastic! I don't have the skill (yet) or patience to make these. And, my kids are 14, going to be 11, and 13 (year end) . . . it's hard to plan let alone buy for this age group. Last year it was the Wii . . . this year, we've decided to keep it simple. We will do Advent properly (Christmas tree will go up, but not lit until Christmas Eve) and we'll bake neighbour's gifts; My dh and I will do the traditional pj's and we'll decide about a certian set of $ to give each kid. What they get from grandparents, aunts and uncles usually is enough. I'd like to make them something, too, but I'll find something to make them and do it next year, I'm sure. One year I made them all those tie-fleece blankets - they are used constantly and loved.
Anyway, very cute bears, job well done! Now, I'm off to think about Christmas a wee more seriously.

There is nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment that you receive when you finally check something off on a 'to do' list and can sit back, look at your efforts, and tell yourself 'well done'.
