So, I'm working on my "Taking the Hooligans to Mass" guest post.
I work on my posts by talking them out to my imaginary friends (sounds better than saying I talk to myself.....doesn't it??).
As I was talking out the ups and downs and ins and outs of "Taking the Hooligans to Mass" my brain started singing.
Does your brain ever break out in song in the middle of something else?? Mine does it all the time.
Well, the song I got to singing is one that I first heard sitting on my Grandaddy's knee. (remember my crazy Grandaddy?? the one I blame....accuse....credit...dedicate the writing of this blog to??)
it's a good song...but it's almost as bad as "It's a Small World After All" for getting STUCK in there and echoing around all the empty space in my head. (and Subvet will say as soon as he reads this "Well, you WERE a blonde you know!")
At any rate
Since tis better to give than...blah blah blah....
Now YOU get to have this song stuck in YOUR brains for awhile.
If you followed the links and are wondering about my answering machine....
It now says "Hey, we are Chasing Children, leave a message and we'll call you back."
Even my boss has commented on it!
Thanks Grandaddy!

I knew the song but have never seen their version of it. Wasn't it from a Broadway play? Maybe? Perhaps? Or maybe I've got that all wrong...
heck if I know. I grew up thinking Grandaddy'd made it up!!
I did find it on Bing Crosby's records when I googled it.
Ha! I've been known to break out in lyrics in conversation. Lyrics play a big part in my thinking too :o)
