So, sometime while I was working last weekend Subvet had this little drama with Gator-boy:
Dad: Get those fingers out of your mouth!
Dad: The other hand isn't ok either!!
Dad: Hey! Neither is your foot!
Some things never change!
This has been another installment of TINY TALK TUESDAY Go see Mary at Not Before 7 to see more of this fun event.

that's so interesting. he's always done that? if i were you, i wouldn't let him move down to his foot =D hehehe
Prince "S" does that too. He uses his other hand to hold his fingers in like somehow he would lose his fingers. Is this a normal thing? Is it speech related? Is it something to be worried about. I know that your kiddo were premature so I wasn't sure if the finger sucking is something I need to be worried about or if it is just a comfort thing.

M5, in the beginning it's a natural need to suck, hence the reason we invented pacifiers. Then it becomes comfort, by age 2 it's nothing more or less than a bad habit. I prefer passys as they can be thrown away at age 2, fingers/thumbs are much harder to get rid of. Also, if you use a NUK passy you have minimal mouth deformation. Thumbs are the worst for causing this with fingers and the other type passys right behind them
MM,
Thank you for your reply....I have never seen anyone sucks fingers like Prince "S" did and then use his other hand to hold them in until now...It really is too funny!!
Hope you are doing well.
