My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

my day today

Well, we had an entertaining afternoon. Had us Rolling On the Floor Laughing!

Those boys decided that they really didn't need naps today...again....

as the slides (ummm beds??) were just too much fun to pass up.

They also decided that those curtains just didn't go with their overall decor and must be removed!!

As a matter of fact, they felt so adamantly about it that they pulled ALL of the hooks out of the curtain.

So, MightyMom heads up a britches brigade, gets all 3 hooligans in clean diapers, Gator out of the backwards jammies, and sets Piglet's Big Movie to playing and heads back to their room to repair the damage.

After turning the slides back into beds and returning all their clothing to the dresser I had a slight problem....

NO HOOKS

I could not for the life of me figure what those hooligans had done with all the hooks for their curtains.

I finally found them:

They were all stuck between the wall and the head of Gator-boy's mattress.

OK, so about 4-5 min had passed since I'd last checked on the boys and I figured I needed to check on them.

Here's what I found in the living room.

YUP, it was a day to forget to remember for sure!

Wow I am tired just looking!

But the baby is a giggling delight!
And so are the boys:)

I am thinking it is a full moon in Texas...

Some days you just HAVE to laugh!!

Yup, the moon's a little fuller in Texas tonight than it is here in Arkansas. ;D

You may have to do what Mama used to threaten to do to us when we were little: hang them on a nail for their naps. ;D

I don't know why, but Bloglines still hasn't updated your last 2 posts. Grrrrrr!

Yellow, hmm? Canary yellow in fact! I tried a pale yellow as my background, but it looked awful with those crabapples. I think I like the white best for now.

Glad y'all liked the casserole. I like mine NASA hot with hot Rotel and/or cayenne pepper. :-)

Love and hugs,

Diane

i'm guessing you have to have your sense of humor in order to keep your sanity. i can just imagine the fun the boys were having. and heck, who needs clothes while you're in the house =]

The blog color change threw me, at first. I thought it was Easter and I'd missed it!

Susan, I never claimed to be sane!!

The sense of humor is a must! Subvet's a big help. One of the reasons I married him is because he can ALWAYS make me laugh!! No matter how I'm feeling or what the situation is.

We tried to get pregnant for 2 years and were getting info on adoption when I got preg with Sonshine; each kid was a problem pregnancy and dangerous birth; that gives us great perspective! Believe me, I'd rather have a day like this that is just plain crazy than the alternative.

Chief, funny you say that, I've been told I live in an Easter house, my walls are pastel blue, yellow, violet and green.

and that yellow was just too much for my tired eyes so I went for something more soothing....

Well, if you can't change your little hooligans, you can change your blog colors. A little bit of control in a chaotic world is a good thing! lol
You are going to have to save those pics of Gator-Boy to show his future wife!

Ah, the joys of raising small children. I get exhausted just reading about it and looking at the pictures!

You have my condolences and sympathies though I'm sure that secretly you love every single minute of it!

oh my goodness.....and yes I remember the days in the not too distant past..but mine did things more like making peanut butter and honey bread and smeared it all over the entire kitchen floor and walls etc...and then into the livingroom....ya...I was a sound sleeper and the girls knew to be really quiet! You have an incredible attitude about it...that's the only way to survive though isn't it?!?

I have had days like that. Not recently but I know what you are dealing with.
I had one of my twins break a window in there bedroom with the end of his pacifer. I had 1-3 year old, 2- 2 1/2 year olds and a 5 month old at the time. They have gotten into their closet and trashed it so much we had to put a lock and clip thing to keep them from getting into it. I totally understand!!
