My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

I'm with Ray: I don't want any cold soup either! ;o)

I KNEW you'd picked "The Streak" for Gator-Boy!

Girl, how many have you lost there where you work?! Just how many dead ones do you have to sit up with? ;o)

"Mississippi Squirrel Revival" is one of my fave RS songs -- "that squirrel was doing laps inside her dress!" LOL!

Hope you're having a good weekend. I is TARD, as usual.

Love and hugs,

Diane

I have always loved Ray Stevens from way back when he did "The Streak" and "Ahab the Arab" and "Gitarzan"!

Thanks for the smiles and laughs today!

I've been an Academy Awards fanatic for bookoodle years, and I remember when the streaker crossed the stage that year, and David Niven, straight-faced, quipped about the man's "shortcomings". Yeah, I'm showin' my age, and proud of it!

"The Streak" has always been one of my favorites. We have a local station that plays music from all decades, and they played that a couple of weeks ago. Still makes me laugh. "Don't look, Ethel!"

WoooHooo!
This totally made me smile.
Thanks, friend.
I was about to say that I would've added 'You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd', but that's Rodger Miller! :-)
Ahhh, good memories.
I had a dear friend in high school who loved Ray Stevens. She was one of a kind, still is.

Yupper....always loved Ray and his music, but I must confess, ain't never heard either "The Gourmet Restaurant" or "Sittin up with the Dead".....so...because of that, I'm gonna stea...er...borrow at least one of em frum y'all....

I might even adopt the restaurant song fer my blog, cause, although I have before, and on ocassion still do, cook Gourmet meals...I lean toward makin the simpler, heartier down home meals....

Cookie, I'd love to lose it, but I kept getting trolls that were being nasty....this gets rid of them. I could go to comment moderations but I hate it worse than word verification.

if you have a better solution I"ll listen.

steal away! goodness knows I dun stone enough from you!! :-)
