My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Gee Whiz

Found this at penofjen

Gee....guess I'm showing off huh?

I actually had a discussion about en vitro fertilization with a familiy member saying I am against it...she said "That's because you got pregnant so easily.."

Oh Gee, I guess the 2 years we tried/waited/begged (and started the adoption process) before Sonshine doesn't count now that I've got three huh?

Here's what gets me.

Why do people think they can control birth/death? Truly these are 2 things that are entirely in God's hands. Don't believe me? Think about it. How many people have you heard "should have died" but didn't? How many "went all the way through infertility treatments, had en vitro fail, then spontaneously got pregnant"??? Now I hear people telling me how many children they "want" and I just laugh. You will have however many children God gives you. No more, no less. It's not that I don't believe in birth control...Subvet's the Catholic, not me....it's that I don't believe birth control changes anything. I've known too many folks have babies a) while on the pill b) after having tubal ligation c) after vasectomy d) after proper use of condoms...etc etc....

Oh well, we and our 3 kids are going to show off for the world I guess. Just trying to make sure the "white" race doesn't die out. :-)

Funny thing, Subvet has found that when you go places with 1 in the stroller and 2 by the hand people actually hold doors for you and give you sympathetic looks! (Take all the perks you can!)

Amen to that sister! My youngest made it through TWO forms of birth control so don't tell me that she wasn't meant to be!

Some things are just out of our hands!

Welcome to the show off club! Sick isn't it. I like you struggled to have the four I had, and for people to suggest that they can control this is wrong.

Yep...God is in control...

By the way, I love that you are a showoff! Cause the Mighty Kids are absolutely adorable and DELIGHT my day!

The only folks I got comments from were my family, but my youngest was my fifth pregnancy and they were just worried for me.
I think a lot of people look up to celebs and try to raise their kids in that manner (nannies, the clothes, the montessori schools, etc.). I say, get better role models.
I DOES NOT take $200,000 to raise a child, in an average situation.
Good post, MM.

I'm not sure I'd want a nanny raising my child, anyway.

I always said God knew there would only be one child for us and He made her pretty near perfect!
