My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

feeling pretty, for a change.

well, I've been kinda down here lately. I finally broke down and decided I'd better go on and buy myself some clothes that fit. I was not happy about getting the clothes (I HATE shopping! and trying on clothes with a 7 month old in tow is tricky at best)....or the size I needed to get...or the department I had to go to in order to find that size....(you know what I mean, right?) But, I no longer fit into my maternity jeans and it's getting cooler so it was necessary.

While I was browsing Walmart I saw a top that I thought was very pretty and decided to go on and get it...even though I'd planned on not buying any tops. But, I mean the thing SPARKLES with GOLD GLITTER! So how could I pass it up?

Well, I found this top AFTER I'd been in and out of the fitting room and had no desire to go back so I just guessed on a size and went with it.

I put the top on for the first time yesterday to discover, it fit terrific!! Turned out to be very flattering. Didn't gape or stretch or bulge in any of the wrong places (again...you know!)

So, I had my mom take my picture after church. It was a beautiful sunny day (little too sunny for the photo op actually), clear and a breezy 65 or so degrees.

Sure is nice to feel pretty in clothes that fit again.

Hubby told me I looked real pretty too!! (Of course, he ALWAYS says that)

Question of the day....
What makes you feel pretty/handsome?

OK you look great! When did you have time to get to a gym???

Very pretty and nice figure...

Love the hair too. SO I am so glad that you went to the store.

Bill's look tells me everything. I just tell him to never take off the glasses, cause they seem to alter everything on me in his eyes!!!!

it's hard to tell what the top looks like exactly but from what i can see, it looks nice.

more importantly... you feel pretty in it. i'm glad it does that for you.

what makes me feel pretty is an total outfit that fits well and makes me feel confident.

Nice top!

"Pretty" is too much of a stretch. I settle for "not bad" most of the time.

I think a good haircut does it for me.

Dahling, you look mahvelous! Nothing like finding a nice top that you like and that fits well to feel pretty.

I'm afraid I don't really feel pretty much at all these days. I feel like a tired, worn-out blob for the most part (ah, brutal honesty!). The only pretty I feel is pretty tired or pretty worn-out! Pretty sad, eh??

Hose, nice heels and a Sunday dress, and makeup. I couldn't tell you the last time I did all those at the same time. No hose or especially heels for me these days. If I could even manage to walk in them I'd be crippled up for days after I wore them for any length of time.

You look nice though, and so would Gator and Sunshine if you could get them to LOOK AT THE CAMERA, for Pete's sake! ;o) Not intended to incriminate any member of your family, LOL! ;D

Hugs,

Diane

oh, they look at the camera, right AFTER you take the pic!! and not both at the same time!! Sonshine was more interested in all the tiny little white flowers (weeds) on the ground and Gator was just being a Gator. Good pics are hard to come by in my house!!

The new top looks great on you! YOU look great! I'm not sure what you're talking about when it comes to clothing sizes!!!
In answer to your question:
I decided to homeschool Janelle because she was having a terribly difficult time in school. I was doing homework with her for an hour or more..usually more just about every night...she cried most days about school...didn't seem to fit in with the girls in her class...But most of all...she was waaay behind the other kids academically and was getting further behind by the day! She just wasn't understanding her work. She missed some real key things earlier on and seems to have some learning difficulties that are helped tremendously when she has the one on one learning. There really was no way that she was going to be able to successfully complete her work(learn) in a classroom environment. She also has a problem blocking out distractions..other kids..teacher..
bird flying by the window...sirens,
people outside her classroom window...you name it...She was always crying about her work before and HATING school..ie..learning..I didn't want to continue this pattern of hating learning..what a crippling habit this could become!! She is now learning that school is FUN! She no longer dreads it (for the most part!!). So yeah...that's why I started homeschooling Janelle!
:D
Hope you're all doing well!
Heather

Your hair looks cute!
what makes me feel pretty?
antique jewelry, my favorite lipstick / lipgloss, a new dress, heels that don't hurt, being on a date with Hubby, and when my kids exclaim as we walk out for a date, "mommy, you look soooo pretty!"
