Summer has officially started at my house!
Stephanie left a comment a little while ago saying:
Every year, on May 1, my dad would get out the "hosepipe" and spray us down in our swimsuits. That was the beginning of summer and the signal we could go barefoot outside until Labor Day. Used to love playing under the sprinklers!
Well, I guess most of us have that one thing that heralds the beginning of summer...ours happened Saturday morning.
Sugars pooped in the pool!
aaaaahhhh, it's summer!
So, what begins summer for you and your family?

Major LOL here, Mighty Mom. That's hilarious!
Summer is apparently a thing of the past here in New England - or at least Spring as we haven't officially gotten to the calendar date of Summer yet. I guess, though, if I had to figure out one thing that announced its arrival it would be when Jamie comes up from Florida for the summer months. Therefore, Summer "officially" started on June 4th this year.
As to your "official" beginning, do you not have summer anymore when Sugars is too old to poop in the pool?!?
So is this going to become a yearly tradition--even when she's eleven? lol
Memorial Day Services with all my relatives. Years ago our family would help with services at our country cemetery on Memorial Day, and relatives that lived close enough to drive here came, and after services we would have a big potluck dinner at my grandparents. So for me, summer begins with Memorial Day.
lol. yep, i guess it's now official =)
The kids swim team starts up. That means every.day.at.the.pool. Even in the cold.
Yes, I'm back among the land of the living (and blogging).
Way to go Sugars! Are you going to continue this tradition as your summer kick off campaing? Just wondering!
