My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

our clarion call this morning....

woke up to "it's snnnooowww Momma!! snow! the car has snow and the bushes have snow and daddy's boots have snow and the tunnel has snow and....." sigh. no decision yet on if the birthday party will be canceled....sigh.

These pictures were taken at 8am this morning....

see my poor hyacinth under there? There are 4 of them but this is the only one I could see.....

9 inches in my front yard and it's still coming down!

The roads around here are mostly clear just slushy and there's no ice on my driveway, even in the spots where we ALWAYS get ice so I'm hopeful about our party....so far.

It's now 10:30am and the snow has mostly stopped falling. The sun is out. Our roads have stayed clear of ice, just with snow/slush so hubby's going to check out the main roads before we make a decision on our party....

COME ON SUN!!

So far no snow here. I wanted one more batch of snow cream, but it's doubtful at this point. It's 39F and we're supposed to have snow showers overnight but I can't see how we'll have any accumulation at that temp.

Hope you managed to get to the birthday party.

Good grief! It's almost easy to forget you live in Texas looking at all that snow! For a minute there I had to doublecheck to make sure that this was a recent post and not one from previously that had somehow gotten republished.

Cool beans MM. Snow. yea!!!! Better you than me! I'm holding my breath here hoping to make it without and more. I think we broke a record in February for snowfall. Hope it doesn't hurt your flowers too bad.
