Good morning everyone and how are you today??
I'm joining Mary again this week and sharing what I get to listen to with y'all.
So, this week I have heard the same sentence about a gazillion times.
I keep trying to correct the grammar (yes, that is the goal of speech therapy) but my child obviously has my stubborn nature :-)
"Mommy, Want to give candy with the kids"
Aaahh, if only those kids were giving candy dear........
Now I just have to convince him that Halloween is indeed over and even if we sat out there with our bowl of candy the kids have all gone home.
I'm amazed at how excited he was to give candy away...never once wondering if he could have some. (No, he's never been trick-or-treating)
I just keep assuring him that next year we will again "Give candy with the kids!"

Continues to prove that giving does feel better than receiving!!

It's a long walk from here to your house, but I suppose I could come trick or treating occasionally just to give him a thrill and so he could stay in peak giving form. ;o)
you just come on friend...I'll keep some candy close by for when you get here!
last year elmo was his fav costume...this year it was either the pumpkin, the ghostttssssstttsstts or the "monkey" so take your pick
:-)
Good Afternoon Mighty Mom,
Hope this finds you doing okay. I didn't give out any candy this year because I couldn't afford to buy any. My youngest daughter did go trick or treating with one of her friends. My oldest daughter has outgrown it. We live in a small town, and they know what houses they can and can't go to. That is so sweet that he still wants to give out candy to the kids. How old is he? I have always told my kids it is better to give than to receive. I do hope they will always remember that. Well, just thought I would drop by. I am doing some cooking and fixing to start some laundry. You take care my friend and God Bless you.
Hugs,
Karen H.
I hope that's a trait that he always keeps!
I love it when children love to give instead of receive...your son is a kid after my own heart:-)
That is so cute that he wants to still give out candy a week after the big event! It was such fun, huh?
