My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Thesaurus Thursday

Wow! What a day!

Maybe I should move this to Tuesday as my Thursdays seem to be rather busy!!.....course if I did then the Tuesdays would suddenly fill right up...welcome to my world.

After dropping the boys at school Miss Priss and I spent a few hours at Walmart. Me carrying her the whole time because the girl just wouldn't sit up in the buggy. She's not sitting yet and I guess she got tired of holding herself up. Stinker gets HEAVY!!

The good news is that all of my Christmas shopping is now finished!! Praise God and pass the potatoes. I also made a fair start on the gifts that I make to give every year last night so I'm finally ready to turn on the rock station that started their annual playlist of only Christmas Carols last week. whew, what a sentence! Sorry folks, I'm too tired to edit.

So, there's my chit chat, On With The Show.

This week's words are:

factotum

frisson

For those who are new here today, the "rules" are as follows:

First and foremost, competition for the coveted Silly Goose Award is getting fierce!

Enter as many funny definitions for either word (or both) as you can think up!! Just leave them in the comments.

Next, if you know (or think you know) the true definitions without looking them up then be sure and leave those in the comments too!!

All definitions that are correct (or close enough for government work and Mighty Mom) will win the even more coveted Smarty Pants Award!

Awards will be given out in Saturday's post, so don't forget to come and see if you won!

Good Evening Mighty Mom,
I just woke up and got me a snack. I am trying to catch up with everyone that I didn't earlier in the day. Hmmmm, I think I mite give this game a try if ya don't mind. I hope they don't have to be in this particular order. Frisson - Redneck word for Freezing - It has been Frisson cold here this week.
Factotum - Umm, Redneck word for Fat Tummy - You shure do have a factotum there. LOL, I have absolutely no clue as what they really mean. I like Redneck language, could you tell? LOL. Well, I gave it a try. Who knows, maybe I will start playing it. Take care my friend and God Bless You.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Factotum: a tiny little fact, as in the kind of facts I learn every day from my four year old. We're driving through the neighborhood and he points at a house and yells, "it's California!" Same house, everytime. It's a factotum.

Frisson: when frizzy hair becomes popular among the cool, hip crowd, you'll overhear the young girl say, as she goes to fix her hair, "I'm going to get my frisson"

weak, I know.

Factotum; it's a mispronunciation of "fatotum" which is about a wide totem pole.

Frisson; another mispronunciation, this time it's for "freezing". As in, "I'm frisson my butt off in this weather".

Where's my prize?

frisson: That's where friggin' criminals wind up after they're friggin' sentenced!

Frisson- As I was a teen in the eighties I know this word. It means I am all that! "Look, Jen has her frisson

Factotum- This is a product to alleviate indigestion. It came to light when C-Span came on cable. It allows one to be relieved of painful stomach gas, as Congress tries to spew falsehoods as facts

Frisson: A delicate, ephemeral feeling, such as fear.

Usage: Sarah felt a frisson of fear run up her spine when she saw Gator with the cattle prod.

Factotum: A clearly defined fact.

Sunshine knows his name and address factotum.

I am drawing a blank this week--anything that came to mind, someone already said. Too funny!
