Well, here we are. It's Thursday again. Which a couple of my readers have been sweet enough to remind me is when I put up my Thesurus Thursday game.
For those who are new here today, the "rules" are as follows:
First and foremost, competition for the coveted Silly Goose Award is getting fierce!
Enter as many funny definitions for either word (or both) as you can think up!! Just leave them in the comments.
Next, if you know (or think you know) the true definitions without looking them up then be sure and leave those in the comments too!!
All definitions that are correct (or close enough for government work and Mighty Mom) will win the even more coveted Smarty Pants Award!
Awards will be given out in Saturday's post, so don't forget to come and see if you won!
So, you're asking, what are the words for this week?
comate
salvo
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an awful lot of sewing to get done before Christmas and only 54 days left to do it!
Oh, and I have a pluperfect pumpk-acular show n tell for tomorrow.....

comate: when I was 19 and had a string of bad boyfriends and decided I'd never marry and just live next door to my best friend in identical storybook houses, then she would've been my best friend and my comate
salvo: this is lip salve sold to guys in New Jersey who wear thick gold chains and wind-suits with slicked back hair and say, "Yo!" real loud.
comate- In the 21st century of creating super crops and bigger cattle, the ConAg group created a timesaver. Comate- a innovative crop that grafts a corn plant with a tomato plant. The results comate.
"Sandy do you have any more comates? I love how they taste with Steak!"
salvo- This is an easy word as I live so close to the border. No longer are there separate languages of English and Spanish. Spanglish is a real language.
Salvo-an ointment to put on a rash.
"Papi, yo necisito salvo por mi cabeza.( Dad I need salve for my head)"
Notice that the word salve looks English and sounds Spanish.
Again Pen of Jen is Quill of Bill's secretary,
comate- Place of hiding.
"Comate, comate where ever you are?"
salvo-A reused item/recycled.
" I will salvo my toilet paper, a tip I picked up on lotsforless.blogspot.com
Jen must insert at the bottom that at this point in our lots for less journey we DO NOT recycle TP. I hope people still will consider visiting after Bill's definition!
Comate - uhm, your partner in your cell? A new term for cell mate?
Salvo - I believe I know this one, it's like a hail of something for lack of a better way to put it - for example "he fired a salvo of bullets into the woods" or something like that.
Of course I am probably completely wrong and really need more coffee before I try this stuff!
comate: "Well, your hair wouldn't look so bad... if you'd just take the time to comate, once in awhile!" (First said to Donald Trump, by his mother...)
salvo: Should be capitalized, since Sal is the oldest of the Vo children...
Comate: A Navy term referring to personnel.
Usage: I'm the mate on deck, and Pete here is my comate.
Salvo: This one I know. A salvo is a firing of weapons simultaneously.
Usage: The officer of the deck ordered another salvo fired on the enemy ship.
