My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Vacation Day 3

Today was my day to wander about alone.

1) manicure and pedicure. Knowing I was headed on Vacation anyway I didn't cut my nails the last 2 weeks :-)

2) Target again. More necessaries and a couple things forgotten yesterday. Much faster when pushing your own cart! (Kristie, I spank her leg every time she runs! Spaghetti legs gets no traction with me either....as I hold them up by the shoulders till they stand spanking legs as necessary -- however, pushing the cart is such an honored novelty she didn't run too much.)

3) Michael's arts and crafts. I finally got the things I need to repair my (and all the other broken) rosary.

4) Haircut!

5) early dinner at Gloria's Restaurant with a dear and long time friend. Jen and I've known each other since 89 but lost touch sometime around 99. Took us 2 hours full of food to get caught up! hooray for facebook.

I tried a bunch of new things too!

First, Ceviche Trio - A sample of (from top to bottom) orange roughy ceviche, shrimp cocktail and scallop ceviche

Comida SalvadoreƱa / Traditional Salvadorian Food

Glorias Super Special - (starting at 1 o'clock and moving clockwise) One tamale (wraped in a banana leaf), one pupusa, yucca, plantain, black beans, black rice and sour cream in the middle was a coleslaw of sorts...very citrus-y though.

Mission Accomplished:
hair and nails ready for trip! Reunited with dear friend! New favorite restaurant found!

oh happy day.
