My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Goal Post.

Last weekend's goals were.

1) get to the gym 3 times well I made it inside twice....I went on Sunday afternoon about 4pm and the place was PACKED!! so I went home.

2) get swimsuit altered DONE!! yippee!!

3) get swimshorts made didn't do a thing with this....

4) do listening program 4 times with kids (this means twice today...) DONE!! yippeee!!

5) get my snuggleometer back up to Full. I got lots and lots of snuggles! But I do believe my snuggleometer might be broken...cuz it just doesn't stay filled up for very long.......

I'm working tonight, tomorrow night and the next night. So no goal except surviving work.

But for next weekend my goals are:

1) make the swim shorts
2) refill snuggleometer
3) get to gym 3 times
4) get this soup made
5) finish making Gator's newborn footprints!

as for #3, I'm glad I'm working the next 3 days...cuz I gotta tell ya, my legs are aching! I found that I can no longer do the elliptical trainer like in the past. Between being out of shape over the last several years and cutting my heart medicine dosage in half last month even 2 min on the elliptical and my heart is racing along at 170 threatening to trip into SVTs (a dangerously fast heartrate). So I'm doing ye ol recumbent bike. I gotta tell ya, the bike is BOOOORRRRING!!! I've started taking a book along with my ipod and that helps pass the time some. But, boring or not, my heart rate stays elevated but not too high and I've lost 2lbs so I guess it's working.

as for #5, it occured to me that my husband's 60th birthday is in about 2 1/2 years. I want to finish HIS quilt for his birthday.....but it's all handwork. As in 144 HAND APPLIQUED 6" HEARTS that will make a Queen sized quilt which will then be hand quilted...it'll take over a year to get from here to finished without a doubt. But I gotta finish the one I'm working on FIRST. Which means that I suddenly am looking at a deadline for my quilt and have somehow kindled the fire that was dying out under my butt to work on the dang thing! Sometimes deadlines are good!

Your turn!
What are your goals for the week?

Challenges and deadlines are very good for motivation...
Exercise equipment is very boring to me. I need group pressure to exercise at my best :0)

Ah yes, the elliptical trainer. I can remember when I used to go to the gym and was totally appalled that I could only do about 5 minutes before I thought I was gonna die. I'd hate to see how pathetic I'd be on one of those now!

The only goals for the week are to try to stay warm and not strangle the teenager I live with who seems to be ebbing and flowing with teenager hormones as of late!
