My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Have Patience

OK, so a new friend of mine mentioned a certain trip she's gonna be taking that will involve a slow moving vehicle and several miles of shall we say "prairie scenery"....

In response I was going to type out the lyrics to my favorite patience song that has stayed with me for 28 years...ever since my children's choir (of which my mom was director) did the musical "The Music Machine" for church.

Now, just for grins I decided to see if I could somehow find this --ahem-- antique children's song on youtube as it really is much better knowing what TUNE you're supposed to be singing on your road-trip.

Would you believe that someone has actually recorded the song??? AND this little cutie has put a puppet show to it! Now, omiting the fact that her room could use a touch of purple in it here and there...this is one swell video to my favorite song...which I STILL sing frequently in the car...causing my husband to quickly turn on the radio...at max volume.

Enjoy! And remember to sing it anytime you feel a bit less than patient...if nothing else the reactions you get in line at the checkout counter are priceless! (especially if you sing LOUDLY)....I've been known to have others in line request encores so they could join in.

I thought I'd heard 'em all, but I have to admit I've never come across that one.

Curiously, that "snail" looks a lot like a frog...maybe it's a case of mistaken identity...or multiple personalities, LOL. ;o)

Oh man I can't tell you how many times we had this playing in the tape player on our long drives to baba's house when my kids were little.

Never heard this one-probably DD's the previous generation.

I do remember that it's not easy to be green, however.

that was great! i had never heard it before. i think i need to learn it, teach it, and use it. i can see where it would bring down one's blood pressure during certain situations. i think it's great that you sing it out loud =)
