My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...
It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Your mind is the garden, your
thoughts are the seeds, the harvest can either be flowers or weeds. — William

What I'm about.

Have you ever stopped to think what you're "all about"??

I have. I thought long and hard over the past 2 years to determine what it is I'm all about. Here's what I came up with.

1) I'm all about enjoying the ride.

I'm not where I want to be, but I'm gonna enjoy getting there

2) I'm all about making someone smile.

Doesn't matter what it takes to get it, everyone needs a smile a day.

3) I'm all about forgetting that "they" are watching.

eh, screw em.

4) I'm all about putting God first.

It's taken me down a twisting path...but as long as it's His plan it's all good.

5) I'm all about loving others as I love myself.

My daily prayer:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

St Francis of Assisi

So, what are YOU "all about"??

Hmmm ... good question that shall require some pondering because other than making it through another day with my head above water, I'm not sure what it is I'm about ...

For now I'm about to go to work so I'll have to get back to you on this one!

I'm all about...
1. Daring to defy those who think Catholic youth are predeterminedly condemned.
2. Daring to love when everyone hates me.
3. Daring to live life so that I cannot be ignored.
4. Daring to be Dominican at heart, even though most of my acquaintances never even heard of them, just purely because I love to preach!

be fearless & be God's. verso l'alto!

Hey, MM! I LOVE what you are all about. Maybe because we're so similar in our priorities. My answers would be so like yours.
Thanks for the history lesson on Santa/Coke. You are so full of it! -- TRIVIA, that is. :)
BTW. I can say the whole poem,
The Night Before Christmas, from start to finish, by heart. So there! No, Honestly, I didn't know I could do it until a couple of years ago I thought I'd say it to my grandchildren and (slap!) -- there it was! I won't even tell you how many years ago I must have learned it, but we're looking at, like, half a century.
Your children are adorable! They are growing up to be so beautiful/handsome.

I like what you're all about. It's no wonder we're friends!

I'm all about being who God made me to be....and so much more. But I think that when I do that, the rest follows.
