My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...
It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Your mind is the garden, your
thoughts are the seeds, the harvest can either be flowers or weeds. — William

Thesaurus Thursday

Well, the trivia answer was Kelly's Heros. My favorite war movie! Sutherland stole the show as far as I'm concerned!!

For next week, work on these:

Last Week's Definitions:
curtilage - the land occupied by a dwelling and its yard, outbuildings, etc., actually enclosed or considered as enclosed

cushaw - any of several squashes having long curved necks, esp. varieties of Cucurbita mixta. (Congrats Smarty Pants Lori!)

Silly Goose Winner this week is:

Lori in South Dakota:
Curtilage--where a red neck lives and he wants people to think he has a fancy "out in the country" acreage.

For any newcomers to Thesaurus Thursday, the "rules" can be found here.

For all winners, the Awards can be found on the sidebar to pick up at your leisure.

Now don't forget to leave your comments for the new words!

raillery: what happens on a blog when trolls try to hijack the content with nasty comments.

Rakehell: The spelling Ms. Welch had to use for her email address when all the other variants for her name had been taken.

raillery: What Hamlet the Little Engine tells Ophelia the very useful engine to get herself to in the Thomas the Tank Engine Special 40th year anniversary edition of Thomas does Shakespeare in Sodor.
"Get Thee to a Raillery!" She is found submerged in the creek by some troublesome trucks.
