My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Politickin

Well, I usually stay away from Politics here...as my hubby does a much better job covering that than I do.

But, I have finally gotten a chance to watch Gov Sarah Palin's speech.

If you have not seen it. Please watch it in it's entirety, her delivery is something to behold.

So, here's some of my favorite quotes: (the emphasis is mine)

And in April, my husband Todd and I welcomed our littlest one into the world, a perfectly beautiful baby boy named Trig....Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge. And children with special needs inspire a special love. To the families of special-needs children all across this country, I have a message: For years, you sought to make America a more welcoming place for your sons and daughters. I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House.

Harry Reid, the Majority Leader of the current do-nothing Senate, not long ago summed up his feelings about our nominee. He said, quote, "I can't stand John McCain." Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps no accolade we hear this week is better proof that we've chosen the right man.

And though both Senator Obama and Senator Biden have been going on lately about how they are always, quote, "fighting for you," let us face the matter squarely. There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you ... in places where winning means survival and defeat means death ... and that man is John McCain.

(about her husband) We met in high school, and two decades and five children later he's still my guy.

No one expects us to agree on everything. But we are expected to govern with integrity, good will, clear convictions, and ... a servant's heart.

I will say that I have come across one thing I don't care for about Gov Palin.

She has chosen some rather different names for her children! Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig..... And that's the worst I can say about her.

Watch the video, decide for yourself.,

Piper was a wonder to behold on Wednesday night! One of my favorite lines was you know the difference between a Hockey Mom and a Pit bull ~ Lipstick!

I thought it was an absolutely phenomenal speech and she's someone I can definitely get behind and support. She's real ... she's not a stuffed suit ... and she understands the challenges we women in America face every day. She's got my vote!

I heart Sarah Palin. Piper licking her hand is absolutely adorable.

Hey! I like those names. But you probably knew I would. ;-)

Sarah, Thanks for finding the link to the video and posting it. I've also posted it on my site for others who may have missed it.
Every response I've had has been great. People are really excited and hopeful.

I loved her the day McCain first introduced her to us. She & McCain are going to be great and they are going to talk back to the liberal press and the nay-sayers. They are not all talk......they are action personified!!!
