For the record. I am giving up "sweets" for Lent...and drinking more (which means any, cuz any is more than none) water. This means, if you start talking about chocolate I WILL get cranky.
Mary Ellen, aka Nunly over at The Bad Habit has put up a wonderful post explaining the whys of Lenten sacrifice....read it and see if you don't think twice about these next few weeks before Easter.
go on and read it....
I double dare ya.

Ok, I'll go read it. And I'll join you in giving up not drinking water.
Both good sacrifices for Lent.
You go girl!!! Chocolate is a weakness for me...oops, sorry. Don't go getting cranky on me or I'll throw water on you. [kidding]
I took your dare...
Our church has a 40 day study the pastor has designed for us to go through daily during this time. I will be downloading it and working through it :0)
Does this mean you'll get cranky if you visit me?
I should take you up on the drinking water more as I know I don't drink enough of it but I just can't seem to force the stuff down my throat except after 9:00 at night in dispatch when I know full well it will have me up and down all night running to the bathroom! Not smart, eh?
And I will do my best to not mention anything about chocolate. No chocolate-covered pretzels or chocolate-covered strawberries or chocolate-chip cookies or double chocolate cake with a chocolate cream cheese filling or ... !!
good luck! i think chocolate is hard. i'm not supposed to have it at all due to the diabetes, but the longer i try to resist, the harder it gets. therefore, i have a just a tiny bit whenever i feel that chocolate urge threatening to destroy me.
but you are stronger than me and a very good reason to push it away. again, good luck.
Wishin' ya well...Not fair to be tempted so blatantly!! Not fair at all!!!!! Cathy
