My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

The Story of my Week. (updated)

Yesterday we took all 3 kids into the doctor. We got there at opening as walkins. 2 hours later we were armed with a mess of prescriptions and diagnoses of 2 with ear infections and all 3 with pinkeye. Then in the afternoon I went to my doctor. Leaving there with another handful of prescriptions and diagnoses of a viral upper respiratory infection that had settled into bronchitis.

So, me being Mightymom, I just had to write a song for you to commemorate my week.

For the tune, play Barney's Dino Dance in the playlist above this post.

OOh Yeah!

Sing it with me!

It's the Fall sensation
That's sweeping the nation
And it's called
The Viral Dance

It's not much fun
But stick around
You'll give it a chance

Are you ready now?
Cause it goes like this:

First you cough cough cough
All over the place
Blow your snotty nose
While you slowly lose your voice

Then everybody starts hacking
And wheezing
Please pass me a tissue
I'm sneezing

Oh Yeah,
The Viral Dance.

Well it's not much fun
You must agree
A week or two
Before you're free

So come on!

You know you will do it!

I see you out there....

First you cough cough cough
All over the place
Blow your snotty nose (ah choo!)
While you slowly lose your voice

Then everybody starts hacking and wheezing
Please hand me a tissue
I'm sneezing

Oh yeah,
The Viral Dance

You're gonna do
The Viral Dance

Go get me some drugs!

(I tried to record myself saying "Thank you, thank you very much" in my wonderful 2 octave below normal voice....but I couldn't speak loud enough to be heard.)

update: I was asked about Subvet....he's been coming down with the virus the last 2 days. So he's singing the same song as the rest of us are. ~~togetherness is great~~

My sympathies for all the ick going around. I usually have at least one round of tonsillitis, bronchitis and sinusitis or some combination of the three at least a couple of times a year. I commend your hardy spirit for having the gumption to write a song and accompanying blog post whilst suffering from the aforementioned malady, my friend. You're a better woman than I, Gunga Din.

My apologies to whose-ever quote I just mangled.

Happy thoughts. Get well soon!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Sarah, Oh, pink eye is nasty. I'm sure the little ones are feeling miserable.

Wishing that all of you are feeling better soon. I'm keeping your family in my prayers.

Blessings,
Mary

Well, you know what they say, "The family that sneezes together eats chicken soup together"...or something like that.

I remember those days of family viruses and I don't miss them one bit. Now when my kids are sneezing, they're doing it in another State.
