My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Thursday's Answer and other stuff

jute
1) a strong coarse fiber used for making burlap, gunny, cordage, etc. obtained from two East Indian plants, Corchorus capsularis and C. olitorius, of the linden family. 2) either of these plants.

So, if I compared my Grandpa to jute would that be a compliment or an insult??

Pickles anyone??

As I was putting bread and butter pickles on my toasted tuna salad and cheese sandwhich today I lost my grip (as if I ever had one!) and spilled the juice from the pickle jar all over my countertop. Now my whole house smells like bread and butter pickles!!

Early morning show.

Sonshine and Speedygirl (the cat) don't exactly get along. As a matter of fact it's a love/hate relationship. He loves her, she hates him.

"Oh lovely pussy oh pussy my love, what a beautiful pussy you are...." Name that poem anyone??? (and get your minds OUT of the gutter, we're talking about 4 legged cats here.)

Sonshine realized yesterday that he can open his bedroom door...so much for mom sleeping late while the boys played in their room :-P

Speedygirl sleeps on my side of the bed kinda in front of my belly.

So, early this morning the troops come traisping into my room. Speedygirl is now nose to nose with a thrilled Sonshine. She hisses. Big time!!! Great big ol ticked off kitty hiss.

Sonshine looks at me and says, "Speedy has snots. She needs a tissue."

I told Subvet I would have LOVED to have seen him try to blow her nose!!!

One of my kitties sleeps as close to my feet as she can get, every night. She and the other cat aren't too sure about this pink wiggly squally thing that has been spending a lot of time here lately. They cut a wide path around Emmy, and I expect some of those hissy fits as soon as she can grab and crawl. ;D

I have actually wiped a cat's nose and most everything else, and I can tell you that so far, none of them have been very appreciative in the least. ;D

By the way, one of my best friends is a vet, and 2 of my sisters work for her, as well as my niece and great niece, and Jessica worked for her for 2 years in high school. There ain't much about cats and dogs that I haven't seen or heard. Or done to them in a helpful way, of course. :-)

Supper is bacon and tomato sandwiches on wheat toast with mayo. YUM!! Still not sure about Sunday Dinner, but I'll get to my post shortly....

Love and hugs,

Diane

I believe that was "The Owl and The Pussycat" you were quoting there and my mind was nowhere near the gutter - thank you very much!

I'm glad you mentioned pickles as hopefully that will remind me that I want to throw some in for my lunch at work tomorrow. Not bread and butter but kosher dill - yum!

Neither Sonshine nor I have come across a pickle yet we don't like!! When I was first preg with him I went through about 2 jars of B&Bs a week. :-)
