My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Waiting...and Waiting...AND WAITING.

Well, Subvet and I are avid Harry Potter fans.

I pre-ordered THE BOOK from Amazon.com. It's supposed to be here by 7pm tonight. It's now 4:40pm and we're still waiting for that blessed knock on the door.

Actually it's funny. Subvet was in Walmart picking up other stuff at 6:30am this morning on his way home from work. He saw a bunch of the books sitting there. He looked to see how many pages there were and put it back (about 750). I am amazed that he didn't buy one then. We were going to get 2 copies so we could both read in peace but we've had some financial setbacks and so resolved to just get one copy and share. Now you would think that with him on nights and me on days this wouldn't be an issue. I'll let you know, but I'm expecting some friction myself. We are both voracious readers and each of us have been known to stay up all night (or day) to finish a particularly good book. As he is also a very fast reader I've basically steeled myself to letting him have the book first and I'll read it next week while he's at work. He's also a gentleman so it may not be necessary........I mean if you can't use "ladies first" now when CAN you???

Also, don't expect my usual quota of posts until said BOOK is read.

As I type this Amanda is on page 745 and she didn't even get the book into her hot little hands until almost 0300 hours this morning!

Not to worry, though, I shan't tell anyone anything even though she has been giving me play-by-play updates on who has died and what has happened. Every time she yells out "oh no!" I just have to ask even though I'm not a fan.

Best wishes and good luck with SubVet saying "ladies first"!

I must say to (probably) the surprise of some that I have read all the Harry Potter books. My oldest just sent me a text message that he found one in the mall and he bought it!!!

So I suppose I will have to learn how the end is...

I still haven't read the next to last book or seen the latest movie. I need to ask my sister if she's got the books, but I know she does.

I hope this last one doesn't disappoint. :-)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Currently 8:05pm and still waiting. I've sent an email to amazon If/when it shows up IT HAD BETTER BE FREE!!! This is the first time I've used amazon....we'll see how they handle it. UPS tracker says "in transit"
Now I'm getting impatient as the kids are in bed and SO IS SUBVET...right now is my chance to read, and the minutes are ticking by.

HAHAHA, joke's on me folks. The stupid book's been sitting in my mailbox. I didn't think it could possibly fit in there, wonder how long it's been there and why UPS tracker doesn't say it's been delivered??? Oh well, off to read till Subvet wakes up.

It looks like the number of posts will drop from people over the next few days.

I hope you didn't have to pay more than $17.99 for it. That's how much the TARGET stores in our area have discounted it to....

DD had to make a trip to Wal-Mart 1230 am Sat. for an extension cord in the teeny little town she lives in. Said she pulled in the parking lot and was amazed at all the cars. Since her book was pre-ordered, and was delivered to our house, she'd totally forgotten it would be out. She said there were people who never made it out of the store--they were sitting on the benches inside, and on the patio furniture for sale outside, reading their books! lol

Oh, and she'd have been reading, too, except she takes the bar tomorrow and Wed. and knew she'd not be able to ignore the book if it was at her house.
