My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

catching up via facebook

For those of you who aren't on facebook with me....here's some snippets of our last couple weeks.

OK, those changes I mentioned at Sonshine's school? Here's a quote from my 7 yr old's teacher this AM
"I am seeing such good changes in him lately. He is really listening to me and allowing me to direct him with less meltdowns. In fact, he hasn't had a "major" meltdown all week long. The Autism specialist told me to make him an area with tape that is his to stay in when we are working or I am teaching to help him remember not to roam around the room and interrupt me. I went and purchased purple duck tape and he seems to love his "house" that he has now (he named it, not me). He wanted to know if he could leave his house when it is time to go home. I assurred him that he could. LOL"

And how awesome is this teacher to go and find duck tape that's his FAVORITE color??!!!!!???? <----- HAPPY MOMMY DANCE!!

I want a stand and sign like Lucy Van Pelt!!
The Nurse is In
$5. (hey! Inflation!)

Last Saturday morning we learned that my 4 yr old daughter has an obvious leg length discrepancy. This explains the nonpainful limp that's been worrying me. We have filled out paperwork to get her into Texas Scottish Rite Hosp. My first nursing job was there and her doctor and I agree it is THE BEST place to treat LLD. The typical wait to hear if you're accepted is SIX MONTHS. Please join us in prayer that she'll be accepted into their program quickly.

Thanks

Honestly I think she knew her "Special Needs Kid" status was disappearing so she just wanted to stay in the running with her brothers!!! :-))

Decisions have been made
Supplies are being gathered
Bring It On!!!!

I cannot believe I ordered something that supports the Green Bay Packers!! Of ALL teams!!

Yeah, this is gonna be great! stay tuned for details and pictures!

Remember our game?

Hubby fixed the leak!!!

And another one started.......

Both leaks are fixed for a total of about $50!!!! That's an $850 savings from the plumber's quote!!

Woot Woot

Wow! That's a bunch of stuff to report.

Glad they're going to treat her legs. My dad had horrible neck problems (including very dangerous surgery on his C 1/2/3 area) all his life and they suspect it was because one leg was quite a bit shorter than the other which threw his body off balance.

My neck probs are probably due to having a really crooked clavicle. It pays to have your bones where they're supposed to be...

Wow! Awesome teacher! Hmmm.... Wonder if I could tame my teenage autistic student's mind wandering with duck tape? ;) What do they do for LLD, btw? Is there pt that corrects or manages this?
