My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Birthday fun and Fall Colors

We went to Mimi's house for Birthday/Thanksgiving. Which was, of course, a chance to exercise the camera a bit more.

This is my dad and brother....I was impressed with how the camera dealt with the backlight...

I took this pic just because there was so much sunlight streaming in the window I couldn't hardly look at them and I wanted to see what the camera would do....

Fun with the grandparents! Grandad actually got Gatorboy to pickout and EAT all the crawfish in his crawfish dressing! Kid wouldn't touch it for me. Sometimes it takes a grandad huh?

This was me showing off the macro lens. I must have talked about it quite a bit...as it was all Sonshine could say on the way home....till he needed to go TT.

being new to the underwear routine, Subvet and I forgot to ask Sonshine to go potty before we left Mimi's house....and it's a looong way between gas stations out here. So Sonshine got his first experience watering the grass. Poor boy, he TTs sitting down and actually had to sit on the grass to go. I told Subvet it's time to teach the kid to aim...I mean, what's the use of being a boy if you can't pee in the grass with ease??

Contrary to popular belief, Texas has fall too! It just comes a little later, is a little shorter...and warmer.

Note: all of these were taken through the tinted window of the quickly moving van on the "landscape" setting....

TT sitting on the grass! How cute is that? Love it!

My Shane still to this day removes all his clothes when he poops! I think he has started leaving his shirt on now, but still removes the shorts and undies. I can tell he still does it because when I walk past the bathroom door, when he is in there, I see the shadows of pile of clothes under the door crack! I think is a cute, quirky thing!

I didn't realize you lived in Texas. It appears your fall is about the same as our here in FL. Later and shorter.

The camera did good with those lighting conditions, huh?

Great pics of your family, MM!

Looks like your new camera adjusts very well to whatever lighting situation you throw at it and that's a very good thing!

Funny how grandparents can get kids to do things that we regular parents can't, eh??

And you're right - what's the point of being a boy if you can't pee in the grass from time to time?!?

Texas looks lovely and it's nice to see that you do get some foliage, too!

You will have to point out to Sonshine that peeing standing up is the one of the BEST things about being a boy!! ROFL

I remember I kind of went hogwild when I got a new camera after using a sorry one for so long. It's amazing what a difference a good camera makes.

Your bro favors you...or maybe you favor your bro.

Your young'uns are getting so big! Especially Sugars. Seems like she's really going through a growth spurt lately.

Texas still looks a whole lot like Arkansas. I didn't figure it'd changed much since the last time I was there and your pics confirm that.
