My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Riding's rained out!

Phooey!

So I'm gonna post pics from last Saturday which was cool, sunny and beautiful!

First off, I have a new favorite ice cream flavor!

It's right up there with Mocha Madness (which they're not making right now. :P)

Last Saturday we rode. This is the beginning of the ride and he hadn't found his happy horsey zone yet.

After the ride we picked up the rest of the clan and headed out to our church's Carnival!!!

I was too busy helping to herd the hooligans to get many pictures....

but the highlight of the day for Sonshine was getting his face painted!! He picked the clown!

Gator INSISTED on having a butterfly....but wasn't too happy with the actual painting part, I had to help hold him still.

Such a clown.

Sugars was all set for a butterfly.....but she would NOT let them paint her face for love, money, or ice cream. So she got a little blue eyeshadow and a butterflied leg instead....

Now, the other BIG DEAL was the firetruck, firemen, and Sparky the fire-fighting dog!!

You must know that Sonshine plans on growing up to be a fireman! We've been trying for over a month to plan another trip to my uncle's fire station without success so he was THRILLED to see this bunch!

When they had a fire safety assembly Thursday he was soooo very excited!! Came home telling me all about the presentation and Sparky!! Hopefully we'll see Uncle Michael in a couple weeks......course Sonshine may spontaneously combust when we get there, requiring a whole new lesson in fire safety!!

Also on Thursday I took the younger 2 to Gator's therapy......as you can see Miss Sugars was NOT bored during the 90 minute wait!

Have a good weekend folks! I'll be catching up on all your posts over the next 3 or 4 days.

Good pics! Love the face paintings, and it's a girl's prerogative to change her mind. Bet it was a lot easier to get the paint off her leg than it was the boys' faces.

Saw your note on Facebook that riding therapy was canceled for this week. Too bad, but at least he's warmed up to it now. ;o)

Hope y'all have a good weekend too, Sarah. xoxoxo :-)

Bummer about not being able to ride. The Carnival photos are fun. I like that butterfly on her leg :0)

Personally, I would have gone for the butterfly leg rather than face, too, as that way she got to see it, too!

Looks like everyone had a grand time! Sorry to hear that this week's riding was rained out.

Cool photos. Looks like good family entertainment. Have you tried chocolate ice cream for bribery purposes? It would certainly work for me.
