Here's the details on the contest:


Grandma Gretchen's First Annual (ever) Recipe Contest


It's that time of the year ladies and gentlemen when the kettle gets to boiling, the pots get to simmering and the cooks get to cooking. Apple pie, pumpkin roll.... all the way to zucchini bread.


I thought it might be fun and interesting to share some of our favorite recipes with each other. So with a little help from Grandpa, here's what I (we) are doing. I am having a recipe contest. Didn't catch that in the title did you? :^) Since it is about cooking and tis the season of seasonings, the winner will get a metal Watkins spice rack with 12 pre-selected tins of spices.






Your spice rack will hold 16 spice tines so, as an additional gift, you get to select 4 remaining Watkins spices of your choice. What are Watkins spices??


These aren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill spices here, folks. Each of these spices is certified organic--made from all-natural sources and packaged at the peak of freshness under a full moon*, so they're guarunteed to pack a spicy punch in whatever dish you're cooking. *We made up the part about the full moon. The rest is true, though

This is definitely something every cook would enjoy!! And, don't forget, Christmas is coming!! So if you think you have plenty of spices then go on and enter your favorite recipie anyway a give the spice rack to a friend!

No contest would be complete without some rules so here they are:


Rules
No more than 2 entries per person (please)
Grandma's family members are not eligible to win the prize
Must be a recipe from your cookbook or your family, so to speak. In other words you can't rob from Em', Betty, Julie......
Entries must contain an email address and a name* so's we can let you know you won!
You give your permission for Grandma to post and share your recipes on SpicesandStuff.Com. Gee, who wouldn't want their recipe shared around the world?




Contest runs from Oct 5 until Nov. 10, 2009. All decisions of the judges are final. Anybody can enter, so email this to your friends and family. If they win maybe they will invite you over for dinner!
