My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

in search of peace of mind

I've decided to try and empty my overloaded brain more regularly. In order to make this more fun I made a quick trip to the store Friday....

The little pad I'm keeping in my purse...this one is for all those great funny ideas that I tend to forget by the time I get to a computer.

The middle sized one is for my ever present list of things that I want to do..."When I have more time on my hands." I figure this way I won't be caught whenever that day gets here!

The large one is for allt he ideas I have for my dream home. One day, probably many years from now I will be able to build my own home...and I want to be able to include all the ideas and avoid all the pet peeves that I have now.

These things regularly circle my brain...usually when I'm trying to fall asleep, hopefully I'll now be able to write them down and not have them stuck in my head anymore.

Sounds like a great plan to me. I had to keep a notebook and writing implement on my nightstand to write down things that come to me and vex me in the night so I can let them go :0)

Oh, be still my beating heart - NOTEBOOKS!!!!!!!! I am a complete notebook freak. So much so that I have a box in my office closet labeled "notebooks" and it is full of any size or style you could possible need or want.

One of my favorite is steno pads, green paper only, please, which are getting hard to find.

I decided during my efforts to de-clutter that I would not be able to bring anymore notebooks into the house until I used up all that I had (a lifetimes worth, to be sure.) I thought that through for awhile, and decided that it was a fairly harmless and inexpensive obsession.

So whenever I see great notebooks at a good price I snap them up. Hey, it's cheaper than drinking or collecting diamonds, doncha know!

I've got lots of stuff circulating, taking up important space in there, too. I've started using my itouch for the same thing. I can store a LOT more notes that way. I've tried notebooks before, but this is working better for me.

Sounds like a great idea ... of course, I would have misplaced all three of them by now. I envy you organized people. Enjoy!

Yep, I keep a notepad and pen in the drawer of my bedside table for those nights when I can't turn my head off for all the "I need to dos" swirling around.

Then there was the 48-hr post-inhaler insomnia attack during the pneumonia, when only a spiral notebook was big enough to list all those home and garden projects I kept thinking about.

These days, when I can't sleep, I whip out the notebook and make myself tired reading all the items on that list. Works like a charm.

I had to laugh when I saw his post because I'm the queen of lists and marking down info for later use. Sometimes while I'm in the Adoration Chapel I'll come up with something and write it down...but then when I read it later, I wonder why I wrote it!

I think it's a great idea, kiddo...have fun with it.

I have notebooks everywhere. A small yellow legal pad on my portable computer desk. Large notebook on the quilting table so I can write down measurements. a shopping list type in my purse for my sieve brain!

My wife is always telling me to write things down so I don't forget . . . but I keep forgetting. I'm getting better though. I have sticky notes on the desk and around the computer. Notebooks though, now your talking organizational skills.
