My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

What do you do?

When there's only one???

So, today Subvet took the boys to the water park and left Sugars with me because she has a rash that's probably viral and we decided NOT to share!

I took her for a walk around the block since it was just us and <95 degrees out so far. We talked and pointed and listened and had ourselves a great time.

And for the FIRST time I stopped and thought, so this is what it's like to only have one kiddo. WOW.

See, Sugars is now almost 28 months....by the time Sonshine was 28 months Gator was a year old....by the time Gator was 28 months Sugars was 4 months old. WHOA.

Now, granted I don't have a big family like Lisa or Sherry,....but still. I've never had JUST a two year old.

It was different........

and

wellll

kinda boring to tell ya the truth.

Good thing the boys'll be back in an hour or two, huh?

Ssh! Don't let Sugars hear you say that it was boring! Mommy/daughter time is precious especially when you don't get it very often or have to share it with the boys!

Still, I guess I can see where you've most likely gotten used to having the brood hanging off your apron strings!

Ahh, but daughters are so special! It's great to have one on one time with them.

the goal is to enjoy both times - time spent one on one with each child and time spent as one big, loud, happy family =)
