My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

ANSWERS!!

First, I've decided that the giveaway contest will end on Tuesday! So go on and add a few comments so you can win!

To the Pop Quiz, yes, I did ask for help getting my socks on occasionally, but then I found a way to do it myself. WITHOUT sitting or bending over.....and I did it by laying on my back on the bed and sticking my feet up in the air to put on my socks!

Now I will answer the questions I've been left recently. For some reason I got many more questions/comments to the BUG POST than I did for the question meme....go figure!

Pam, my "hero" in Miami is Gloria Estefan. I've followed her career for many many years. And I would love to one day sit with her and chat. And I have lived in 10 different cities...all less than an hour from Downtown Dallas. So officially it's a Texas accent. However, I will tell you that growing up it was common for me to be asked where I was from and the asker be surprised when I said "here". I guess even to other Dallas natives my accent sounds different.

Ellen, not being computer saavy I went looking up "leopard bug" thinking you knew. Joke's on me hahahaha!!

Stephanie, that's not nearly the biggest bug we have here....you should look up Palmetto bugs!

Adrienne, I thought ALL cockroaches/"waterbugs" looked like that!! I bet you DO still remember that, must have thought your water was spiked!

Diana, YOU'RE RIGHT!! that's exactly what it was!! a Cottonwood Borer. As it likes willows in addition to Cottonwoods and we have a willow in our backyard I guess that's where this guy came from! We run into these fellows periodically, usually in the grass...but to have him inspecting the doorknob my friend was REACHING for was a bit too much, ya know? And as to what I did with it?....YELLED FOR HUBBY TO COME KILL IT, of course! (isn't that what men are for??)

Harry, apparently it only bites if mishandled...whatever that means and lives off of Cottonwood tree leaves so I guess you could keep him if you like....I'd rather not myself!

Jen aka Pinky, I'm glad he didn't scare you off!! and yes, I do know that the universe has 4 corners! Sugars can make them ECHO if you tickle her!!!

Lisa, we're not yet to the Save the Bugs phase....I'm sure it's coming though. My kids do love them. Matter of fact they spent the rest of that evening standing on tiptoe peering out the front door's window to see Mr. Bug on the doorstep. We thought Dad'd killed him knocking him off the doorknob...but apparently he was playing opposum as after awhile he walked off the porch.

Nancy, this guy was soooo big I'd be afraid to step on it! I mean he'd probably just get mad and carry me off!!

Humble Wife, you want him dead or alive? Is it legal to send live bugs through the mail?? I don't want to be investigated for terrorism ya know.

Diana, you mentioned that I always answer questions here and how it seems like we get to know each other better with this give and take. This is what I blog for. It is a sense of community that is important to me. Not number of hits a day or comments per post....but rather the relationships that have been formed. I share my life with you, you share yours with me. And I love this little group of bloggers that come by regularly. I'm always happy to make new friends.

I don't really want to get into the giveaway as I got to much stuff all ready. I do want to see a short video of you putting on your socks!

I put my socks on that way after surgery too, but I'd forgotten until your post reminded me.

I've seen palmetto bugs in Florida. They should have their own zip code!

I like ALL you posts. But the bug post made me laugh! And never did figure out how you got your socks on.

I've actually put my sock and or panty hose on that way before too! Wish I had remembered that to enter into your comment section!

Oh So good ol' Gloria is the hero you referred to! My first born son was so in love with her in the late 90's. He was about ten years old and had to have her "tape" playing each and every time we got into the car.

Did you know she once had a house done totally in white and gold? I read about it in some magazine with photos. Gorgeous! I dreamed afterwards that I decorated a home the same way! Now that was a fantasy!
