My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Thesaurus Thursday

Well, I did it again huh?

My poor brain totally skipped Thursday this week. We had quite a day today, took all 3 hooligans to the doctor for checkups.

Sonshine is >95th percentile for height and weight
Sugars is 25th percentile for both.

These are not surprising to anyone who's seen my 4 year old that is >44 inches tall or my almost 10 month old at 15lbs.

We're all sick. Apparently it's a virus (probably croup-ish) and we're just lazing around through the holidays.

I'm taking suggestions. What do you do for New Years when your hubby is working all night and you're tied to the house by 3 sleeping kids?

Maybe I should buy myself a quart or two of eggnog and a new book.....oops, that would break the piggy bank.....

ON to the game!!!

For those who are new here today, the "rules" of Thesaurus Thursday are as follows:

First and foremost, leave as many funny definitions for either word (or both) as you can think up in the comments!! The ones that make me laugh the hardest will be given the Silly Goose Award.
Next, if you know (or think you know) the true definitions without looking them up then be sure and leave those in the comments too!! All definitions that are correct (or close enough for government work and Mighty Mom) will win the Smarty Pants Award!
Awards will be given out in Saturday's post, so don't forget to come and see if you won!

Our words for this week are:

pannier or panier....this actually has 4 very different meanings so I will give bonus points to anyone who can name all 4...or can come up with 4 funny ones!

spital

I'm so sorry y'all are still sick. We're just now feeling better. Big sis is still sick , though. I'm too tired to even attempt the words this time! Duh.

Hope y'all feel better soon. Emmy's better in some ways, but still has a runny nose and teething, bless her heart.

Pannier - I happen to know this one. Panniers are bags, usually on horses but sometimes on mules, donkeys or camels, used to carry supplies or other goods.

Spital - I should know this one, but it's late/early and it escapes me right now.

Hmmm.... In spital you feed that baby, Sugars is still a tiny thang.

Happy second or third Saturday this week. So far. ;o)

Panniers can also be motorcycle saddle type bags

Spital is drool...

For New Years... you could all get a nice long sleep and feel much better the next day. Perfect when nobody feels great anyway. How about celebrating New Years on the following weekend when everybody is healthy again?.... lol

Good Evening Mighty Mom,
I'm sorry to hear yall are sick. I hope and pray yall will get better soon tho. Oh it's okay if your a day late in this game. I've always heard the saying, "A Day Late and a Dollar Short". LOL. I stay short all the time. LOL. Okay, now to the words this week: PANNIER - That would be a Redneck word for Pioneer. Usage: Them thar people are the Pannier of yesterday. SPITAL: That would be a tounge tied person's way of saying: It is very Spital that we show them thar Pannier's some respect. Okay, there you have it from me this week. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.
