My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Hello Friends

Isn't this gorgeous? I special ordered 4 of these for my and the grandmothers' Christmas gifts. It's my kids' initials on their birthstone colors. It measures 3inches by 1 inch. My friend Madam Nina makes all sorts of pendants, both of stock photos and special orders. Check her out!

This was from last Sunday's paper.

Well, I really do like my new work from home job. And considering that last night it took us 2 hours to do my 2nd grader's homework I like it even more. This job starts at 9pm every night so that I'm able to be here to do homework and help put the kids to bed before I start work. It's nice, really really nice.

But I've found it's hard to get out of the house sometimes. I work till almost 10am every morning. By the time I'm all done with work it's almost bedtime if I'm going to get up in time to do all that homework. Plus this is the first time in my life I've had a "desk" job. Which is really a sofa job, but it amounts to the same thing. Sitting. Lots and lots of Sitting.

The sad result is that I've gained back all the weight I lost last year riding the bike at the gym. I knew I'd gain some weight in the transition, but it still makes me sad.

Preschool starts on Monday. Which is when my exercise plan will go into action. I'll have some time home alone after work on Preschool days so I'm going to do my exercising then. And as of Monday I shall once again bid sweets a fond farewell. Hopefully I'll be able to reignite my weight loss.

I'll try and make it around to visit everyone soon. We're still getting settled into our new routine. Hope that all's going well with you and yours.

Very pretty pendants! I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled!

Tell me all about the weight gain and desk job - ugh! Sitting behind a dispatch console for 16-hours a day two days out of the week hasn't helped me at all and lately every time I look in the mirror I think I've grown yet another chin! I'm hoping I'll get motivated enough to do something about it before too long but right now I can't seem to get motivated enough to get out of my own way never mind do something good for me like go outside and take a walk. I'm hoping the cooler fall temperatures will inspire me once they roll around.

Speaking of cooler temperatures, I sure hope you folks get some pretty soon! I'd love to send you some of the rain we're going to get from Hurricane Irene, too, but alas - UPS or FedEx won't deliver it!

Thanks for sharing the link...I'll def go shopping!
Weather is crazy! Living in the Village (we are outside DC) we saw an earthquake earlier this week and now have a hurricane coming our way this weekend.
Happy Friday!

Very cut pendents. I've been walking for 51 straight days now but am not losing any weight :o( The Dr. says it's because I'm on a small steroid a day. Bummer. So glad your new job is working out for you and the family.

I too have gained back some weight because of my heart surgery, but am losing it again. When you have a desk job, you have to really watch what you eat. Glad to hear you're working at home.

Thanks for the tips on Mom's health and how she is acting. I appreciate your letting me know. Blunt is okay. I'm that kind of gal. LOL

I wish you lived closer to me so we could exercise together! And so you could have a breather from that TX heat! (Yikes!) The pendants are gorgeous! I'd LOVE one for me and the grandmothers here, too -- but doncha know - they'd hang down to our knees... ;)
