My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Carving pumpkins!!

Ready to get started!

Mine has bumps and Subvet's is that green thing..

Each kid told me what kind of face they wanted.

Well, Subvet did most of the carving, thank goodness!

I did the cleaning and drawing

Then it was time to pose for a group picture...

well, at least all the pumpkins were looking at me!!

.

Then I sorted the seeds from the goo and cleaned for toasting.

The recipe called for margarine and Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt and table salt. I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and butter instead of margarine and they turned out great!

yummy straight out of the oven!

Yum! I love toasted punkin seeds. And, the pics of the kids and punkins are too cute -- even though they weren't all looking. &:o) Definitely framable.

I tried toasting pumpkin seeds once. Just didn't like them. Oh, well.

This post reminded me of long ago when I was a kid and the fun of carving pumpkins. The kids look like they had a wonderful time and I love all the different poses with the pumpkins! Such fun!

Jamie asked me today when we were going to get her a pumpkin so who knows, maybe there will be some roasted pumpkin seeds here, too, at some point!
