My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

mightymom mojo

Once again, I have been in a slump the last month-ish. But as I type (Monday night from work) I'm feeling better than I have in awhile.

Now, what on earth has caused the recapturing of my Christmas Joy?

Was it finally getting that picture of our Santa standing next to our jackolanterns?

probably not.

Was it the phone elimination interview that I finally got scheduled for December THIRTIETH? probably not.

Was it getting a calendar/system in place for next year at last?

I don't think so.

Was it finally finding a use for the TWELVE DOZEN cookies I'll be getting at the church MOMS party I have this Friday? not quite, but I will be glad to take them all to my work party on Tuesday!

Was it deciding that all cards would be sent out after New Year's in an effort to destress my Advent? maybe.

Was it the decision to stay in the job I have and adjust our family schedule by moving bedtime an hour later so I can be with the kids more on my nights off? well, that helped.

But, the biggest reason that I'm happy tonight is that instead of spending the 15 min I have with the kids after their dinner and before I leave for work doing Kinder homework. I decided we'd catch up on all that later so that the kids could watch these......

For Sugars the boys each had their own video too!

Then, right as I was needing to walk out the door Sonshine comes up to me holding this and asking me to read it with him. "Please Momma!! Please! Please! Pleeeeeaaaassseeee!!"

(yup, hardcover with a $.89 price tag. This is a favorite book of MINE!

It was SO worth being late to work!

Glad you got your mojo back!!
It's been a very simple Christmas around here, very low stress. Could it be that I have done practically zero shopping so far?? Hmmmmmmm.

That silent monk video is HILARIOIUS!!!!!

Sounds like a danged fine reason to be late to work to me! Glad you're feeling better.

Ya know, I think I may have had that original book at one point!

The photos you run of Subvet with the kids always raise a chuckle out of me. That's got to bring your spirits up a bit. And those old Golden Books, I still remember them from my childhood.

Bless your busy momma heart! I'm so tickled you chose reading that book over rushing out the door! You're such a good momma!
