My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

A Good News Day/ Friday Frags

Created by Mrs 4444, Friday Fragments are bits and pieces of your week that are usually brief; too short for a stand-alone post, but too good to discard. Collect humorous observations, "Heard" items, and other small gems and put them together in a Friday Fragments post.

Had my annual eval at work. Ever since I had a manager set out to destroy me (and I don't use those words lightly or sarcastically) in my first job out of school I've been really nervous come eval time.

I didn't know what to expect with this manager as I'd heard a story or two about her bringing up things out of the blue.

Well, my eval was very, very good. And along with it came a dollar an hour raise. YIPPEEEE!! very nice. I guess I'll stick around here for awhile if they're gonna treat me so well! :-)

poor hubby went to go buy our soon-to-be-kindergardener his school supplies. Hubby's first school supply experience. His reaction?
"I felt like I was on a damn scavenger hunt!"
results?
he got almost everything exactly as on the list...despite such trials as Walmart calling brads "fasteners" and other such confusions.
He's a good man!

And today is our 10th anniversary!!! yippeeeeeee!!
We're going out to dinner and to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to celebrate!! I'm so excited! I started rereading the HBP last week so it'll be fresh in my mind and we can pick apart the movie while we eat! :-)

Happy Anniversary!! :)

I'm very impressed you got your hubby to go buy the school supplies - my hubby's just not handy that way! ;) Luckily we don't have to buy school supplies for the Princess Nagger...though if I had a choice, I'd much rather have to do that than pay the exorbitant school taxes our school makes us pay every year - you know, to cover the costs of the salaries and the supplies.

Have fun on your Anniversary Date Night tonight!

Happy FF! :)

Good job, Subvet. The first year is always the hardest. My kids 'needed' a bunch of supplies for Kindergarten that came home, unused, in June the next year.

Happy Anniversary!

A very Happy Anniversary to you and enjoy the movie!! Congratulations on your eval and raise...yippee!
I love how subvet described the school supply adventure and your commentary as well.
Have a good weekend.
Yep photos at funerals a little weird but one of the daughters of Sophie is stuck in Russia recuperating from an emergency appendectomy and cannot travel so I wanted to document some of the stuff for her to see...

Congratulations on the anniversary--and yes, school shopping can be frightening and much like a scavenger hunt!

Happy Anniversary!

Have a fun evening! - But you might be disappointed, there isn't much to pick apart about the movie - they did a fantastic job keeping to the book! ;)

DD went with some friends on Wednesday and said it was really good! Hope you and Subvet had a great time, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

You know Delilah won't sing her "happy anniversary" song until you've hit 10 years.

Just thought you might find that tidbit... a little boring.
