My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

GOALS

Goals for last week were:
1) quilt 2 more diamonds
2) exercise 3 nights.

1) DONE! I quilted 3 diamonds and now have 9 of the 18 quilted!!

Hooray for the halfway mark!!

2) ick. well. I THINK I only exercised one night. maybe two, definitely not 3.

For next week:
1) make it through the week without crying at work again.
2) quilt 3 more diamonds.
3) get the giveaway winners' stuff in the mail!

I may just get this quilt finished after all! It's the downhill/home stretch.

I'm really looking forward to starting the 2 projects that are next on the agenda too. First I'm going to mend Sugars' dress which got a huge rip in it the Sunday before last, then I'm going to finish the apron for her dress (finally!) Then I'm going to get the kids started on this year's Christmas gifts. And then....AND THEN....AND THEN I'm going to start putting together my Mommy Quilt. It shouldn't take long to piece as most of it is already put together. The embroidery will take a little while, though. I'm trying to decide what to back it with...I'm leaning toward putting flannel on the back of this one to make it extra snuggly.

So, forward march! And Tally Ho! and Away We Go!

Crying? Never let work make you cry. It's not worth it.

Flannel makes such a nice backing for quilts--you may not even need much backing if you do flannel.

Crying at work - been there, done that, and will probably do it again at some point. Some jobs just make you cry more than others.

I think it's great that you set yourself goals for the week, I just try to make it through with my sanity intact if possible! Most weeks that barely happens!

Great on meeting one of your goals! One step at a time is the way to get there.
