My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

walking?

So, my goal was to be walking to the corner and back by the end of this week.

We're the second house from the corner..although we are on a fairly steep hill, so I thought this would be a doable goal. (yes, I ALWAYS set goals!)

Turns out that when I visited the MD he said that this particular surgery takes a Looong time to heal from and that I need to revamp my goals a bit. Apparently rectal reconstruction is much more debilitating that the 2 C-sections I had...even with me falling in the hospital after the second one!

Let it be known that having a constant pain in the ass is....well....a pain in the ass!
And NOW I know where that phrase came from!!

I did get to the corner and back once on Thursday, I kept rubbing my belly....my belly doesn't hurt but I figured it was a bit more socially acceptable than walking down the street rubbing my butt!

Think I'll wait a couple more days before I try it again though. ;-)

Woman, you need to learn to take it easy before you have a permanent pain in the ass because you tried to overdo it!

Go sit in the tub and soak for awhile and revamp your goals. You are SUPPOSED to be taking it easy!

So, did it ever occur to you to let your DOCTOR set the goals? I mean, in the interest of reality??

I will remember and think twice before I ever agree to fanny fixin'. NOT that I need any.

ha! you and your goals =)

how long is the recovery period for such a procedure? did the doctor say walking was good? or bad at this point? you could just walk out to the front walk. take it slow.

There is no worse patient in the entire world than a nurse or a doctor!!

Give it a rest -- and thanks for that link. Great article...

Pewsitter also had an article connecting the dots on the Notre Dame board members. Remember - follow the money trail!

Thanks to Adrienne, I came right over. Wow! I realize it has been (again) a LONG long time since I've been by here. I am going to pray for you. Geeesh! Your poor arse! Heal well, my dear.
