Well, till Ellen's comment I didn't realize I hadn't told Y'all what surgery I was having.
Here's the scoop....stop reading if you're squeamish.
When my oldest was born I had a 4th degree tear. I also had 1st degree uterine prolapse. This is the reason the other two babies were C-sections.
Well, over the last 5 years a couple of other problems have arisen like stress incontinence and we finally decided to get all of these issues fixed at once. Last Thursday.
It took 3 surgeons, 3 hours to do a bladder sling, vaginal partial hysterectomy (they left the ovaries), rectocele repair, and rectal sphincter repair... but now all seems to be fixed and healing well. Just excuse me if I get a little cranky when trying to sit upright for any length of time okay??
The good news is this.
I am 34 years old....which means that I got out of having periods about 25 years EARLY!! A-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
envy me, oh yeah, envy me. :-)

I hear ya! Not having periods is so darn wonderful!! Thanks for the update...
That last part has got to be the ultimate benefit - you are a lucky, lucky woman!
My doctor and I have decided to go with the endometrial ablation at this point as I just can't afford the 2 to 6 weeks out of work for a hysterectomy. I don't mind, I don't think I'm quite ready for the whole she-bang but if the ablation doesn't take care of the anemia then we shall look again at the other option.
Glad to hear you're healing well though you probably have discovered new meaning to the term "oh my aching a$$!"
Whew! I hope you heal nicely. Wish I were there to help out! I did offer prayers up for you last week, as I had the date of your surgery on my bill pay calendar!
Is your hubby having help with the wee ones? Has anyone brought meals over for y'all? I sure wish I loved close to take care of you.
ouch! no wonder you don't want to do any sitting. and no more period is nice trade-off.
prayers for a quick recovery!

Goodness ~ glad you're over that; sounds like a fun, fun surgery ~ but, hey -- over monthlies for ever? Woohoo for you!
Sounds PAINFUL, but I suppose the alternative isn't good either. Glad you got it all taken care of. Get well soon!
