My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

It's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Vacation Days 12 & 13

Now, see, the purpose of blogging my vacation was so I would be able to remember what we did.

Apparently, I need to blog it a little sooner, because I can't remember now what we did yesterday morning!! I do know that last night my Favorite Friar, Fr Philip Powell came over for dinner. He's only in the US for the summer so this is a once a year treat. Hubby made huge porterhouse steaks, twice baked potatoes, baked onions, pecan pie and Blue Bell. We enjoyed the food and the company immensely.

Today is my and Subvet's 11th wedding anniversary.

The day started with me taking the kids to equestrian therapy. Then we ditched dropped the hooligans off at Mimi's while we saw The Sorcer's Apprentice and had dinner at Gloria's.

The movie is fun.....be sure and stay till the very end of the credits!

Tonight I'm trying to finish marking my quilt but I'm may just go to bed early. This vacationing is wearing out!

Look for the rest of our trip pics sometime tomorrow!

Vacation Day 6 COUSINS!!!!

So, Friday was our long trip down bayou topped off with a super yummy dinner at my Aunt Gay and Uncle Jack's house. They are my Dad's brother and sister in law.

Saturday morning we headed to my cousin's house to play while we waited on the rest of the family to arrive.

At first Sonshine was too busy "being a Knight!!" to come outside
But, fortunately, my cousin had ONE mud puddle in his yard...

And the lure of the mud soon overcame his knightly duties...

After we got a bath and the rest of the family showed up we found other things to play with....

From Left to Right you have here:
My cousin Brian's 2 kids Brynn (6) and Brock (5),
My kids Sugars (3), Sonshine (6), and Gator (5),
My cousin Raquel's son Zander (2).

This is all of the next generation of my mom's family......so far.....

They had a great time playing together. And it was wonderful seeing my Aunts and Uncles and all my cousins except one on this side of the family again!!

Vacation Day 11

Today started off with me going to have the blood work drawn.

Then the kids and I headed off to the fountain park while Subvet put another coat of paint on the new doors. After an hour of playing in the sun we headed out to lunch, then off the get haircuts. We really like these planters outside the Souper Salad! next to our haircut place!

After the haircuts we made about 3 laps around Target while the outside temp climbed to the triple digits.

The highlight of the day was this sight about 1/2 way home.....

Another good day of vacation!

Bp , prayer request, and stuff.

doc says my high bp was due to stress. I don't see HOW I could be stressed since I'm on Vacation!! He did start me on a diuretic though. My bp was down to 140/84 in his office....go figure.

Please pray for my friend Nona, her daughter's 28th birthday would have been today. It's a tough day.

Our dryer got fixed today.

hubby baked a couple loaves of bread today.

I made it to the gym last night! Since it'd been over 2 weeks I only went 5 miles rather than my usual 10. I've gotten so stiff in those 2 weeks. Better not let it go so long again, huh?!

Diana has posted about her quilt! She kinda likes it :-)

Vacation Day 10

Things have taken a strange twist. My blood pressure has suddenly jumped to 170/100!

Since I've never had high BP and take a beta blocker for arrhythmia which lowers BP it's quite odd that my BP would be so high.

So now I have an appointment with my cardiologist at 2pm.

Wonder what he'll say......

Have I mentioned lately that my life is never dull?
