My Husband "Subvet" says that when our first son "Sonshine" was born the sun rose on our world, when our second son "Gator" was born the sun laughed and when our daughter "Sugars" was born all the flowers bloomed. That says it all.

Pillowcases are Sacred!!

I was making my bed with all new sheets yesterday morning when Sugars walks in and DEMANDS that I give back "her" pillowcase.

I had no idea that she was so attached to the Beatrix Potter pillowcase my friend Lori had made for her awhile back.

Well she grabbed the pillowcase, tore the Tinkerbell one off her pillow and got Daddy to replace it with the Beatrix Potter one.

Crisis adverted I headed into the linen closet in search of another pillowcase for my pillow. Finished making my bed and climbed in.

That evening when the kids all come to wake me up Gator spots the pillowcase I'd put on Subvet's pillow and shouts at me, "Momma! What's that?" I tell him it's Daddy's pillow. A minute later Daddy comes in and kneels down to talk to the kids, Gator goes up, puts a hand on each of Subvet's cheeks and nose to nose with him, in his most serious voice says, "Daddy, what are you doing with my cars and trucks on your pillow?"

I guess from now on I'm going to need to be a little more careful about which pillowcase goes on which pillow, huh?

Happy Mother's Day, Mighty Mom! I have the perfect cartoon for you on my blog.

I know what you mean, I remember when my kids were young I had to be very careful who got what sheets and pillow cases. Of course, they had no problem using MY stuff! Especially the girls when they became teens. You have SO much to look forward to!

Happy Mom's Day...

I'm in complete agreement with the kids. Hubby knows to not mess with my pillowcases or my special little tiny pillow named "Squishy." Hellfire and brimstone will rein down on anyone messing with either.

Even the doggies knew that and were always trying to "capture" the "Squish" from it's daytime hiding place behind my regular pillows so as to snuggle and droll with complete joy.

Well, my goodness, who knew? I guess the kids did!

I guess we all have to have something sacred in our households and yours are pillowcases!

Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day!

Heehee! Well, yeah, Momma! All those bedtime comforts are important! :) But I do love the idea of you having Beatrix Potter under your head and Subvet having cars and trucks. ;)
